In response to the 2015 Earth Hour Campaign with the theme of “Saving energy-Combating climate change”, the People’s Committee of Di An town has selected the town’s urban and residential area, Areco residential area, the town’s administrative central building, the headquarters of the People’s Committees of wards and public lighting works at Nguyen An Ninh park, on streets of Nguyen An Ninh, Tran Hung Dao, Dong An, Le Hong Phong, Bui Thi Xuan…to carry out an action of turning off lights from 8:30 pm to 21:30 pm on March 28.
The local people will be also mobilized to limit the use of electrical equipment during the time. Besides, the People’s Committees of wards and hamlets will mobilize enterprises to voluntarily switch off unnecessary lights in order to respond to the campaign.
With the message of “Not only turning off lights for one hour”, the People’s Committee of Di An town has called for all people to carry out power saving to change their habits and response to measures towards environmentally friendly lifestyle.
