Di An town’s People’s Committee yesterday held a conference to review the five-year implementation of the Project 704 on “Educating mothers for good parenting” and the Project 343 on “Education of Vietnamese women’s virtues in the period of intensified national modernization and industrialization” between 2011 and 2015.
During the 2011 and 2015 period, the town’s Steering Board of the Project 704 held training courses on skills to nourish children in each age group for nearly 35,000 mothers while helping more than 30,400 juveniles get access to knowledge on reproductive health, life skills…The whole town has so far set up 14 “women nourishing children well” clubs, 1 “women and the law” club, 6 “women and the environment” clubs; simultaneously maintained “5-Nos and 3-Cleans” clubs and “Women taking part in crime prevention” clubs, contributing to promoting the Project 704 among officials, members of the local Women’s Union and locals.
There was also a diversification on propaganda of the Project 343 via talk shows, competitions, art performances…, attracting more than 25,000 participants. The town also delivered more than 10,000 propaganda leaflets on Vietnamese women’s virtues in the new period to locals.
On this occasion, the town’s Steering Boards of the Projects 704 and 343 also awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee to 11 collectives and 21 individuals for their contributions to the two projects between 2011 and 2015.
