The 2014 Di An festival for cultural families took place animatedly at the town’s Center for Culture and Sports yesterday, June 15, with the participation of 14 outstanding cultural families across the town.
This year’s festival created an useful playground for participating families with many significant contents, including contests on sports, cooking and art performances. Each content required the coordination of each family member, which was also an important element in building up well-off, happy, advanced and sustainable families.
*To celebrate Vietnam Family’s Day (June 28), Thu Dau Mot city held a festive day for 20 outstanding families with 4 main contents: family knowledge, cooking, art performance and sports.
This is also a chance for participating families to share experience in taking care of children and building up happy families.
As a result, first prize in the test part of family knowledge went to the family of Nguyen Tri Dung from Thu Dau Mot city’s Health Center. First prize in art performance was awarded to the family of Do Thanh Huy from Hiep An ward. First prize in cooking belonged to the family of Han Quang Trung from Thu Dau Mot city’s Women’s Union and first prize in sports was presented to the family of Phan Van Dinh from Phu My ward.
