Ninh Xuan Hien, Chairman of Di An Town Labor Federation, said that local economic situation had many good changes, businesses still sustained production, business, and good growth. Political security, social order and safety was guaranteed, people's material and spiritual lives were raised. Social policy, national programs for poverty reduction and employment were well implemented. Propagation programs associated with patriotic emulations, celebrations of big holidays and important political events of the country during the year were welcomed by all officials, employees, and local people. Policies on social security, taking care of policy beneficiaries, social beneficiaries, and employees received attention. An employee had an average salary from VND 4.5 to 8 million / person. Businesses and grassroots trade union officials built plans to take care of material and spiritual lives of civil servants and workers, so they felt more secure when working and settling down.
One of the main activities to help workers is the work of Legal Advisory Group. Since the beginning of this year, trade union officials counseled 121 cases (up 24 cases over the same period), the main consulted contents were the application of labor contracts, social insurance, health insurance, maternity, overtime allowances, severance allowances, make up off days of power outages, annual leave, Tet bonuses...
Activities to take care of the lives of union members and employees always receive much attention. Di An Town Labor Federation directed grassroots unions to work with heads of agencies, units, and business managers to set up plans for taking care of material and spiritual life of civil servants and workers on public holidays, New Year, fully solve and pay salary, bonus, annual leave, Tet holiday in accordance with the law. Di An Town Labor Federation also organized programs to visit and give gifts to workers who suffer from occupational accidents, and those who live far away from home without conditions to return to their homeland for holidays, New Year ...
In particular, to children of employees working away from home, the town Labor Federation had special care and support when they encountered difficulties. The union considered and proposed scholarship for 13 good students sponsored by P&G Vietnam Company in the school year 2019-2020. Each scholarship comprised VND1 million and 10 notebooks. The care for worker’s children was done through activities on International Children's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival. Di An Town Labor Federation also instructed grassroots unions to cooperate with other mass organizations to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival for children of civil servants and workers. Free classes for worker’s children in Binh An ward has also been maintained for many years. Labor Federation of Di An Town also cooperated with Education and Training Office and schools to encourage 100% children to enter first grades in this school year. The establishment of grassroots trade unions at private kindergartens was also one of practical activities to help children of migrant workers.
As their thoughts and feelings are listened and understood, workers will trust in trade union organizations. They also feel secure to devote and build up Di An Town.
