As a populous locality, material facilities at schools in Di An town are always invested strongly. In the new school year of 2014-2015, Di An town sector of education and training puts into use 3 more new schools, contributing to improve quality of education and training in the locality.
Material facilities equipped adequately
Di An town now has 10 pre-schools and kindergartens, 17 primary schools, 8 secondary schools, 3 high schools, 1 primary, secondary and high school, 1 continuing education center and 1 vocational school. As for pre-school level, Di An town now has 70 licensed private pre-schools and 87 unlicensed ones. Until now, Di An town is home to 22 out of 35 national standard recognized schools.
At the moment, Di An town has more than 5,500 pupils. However, in the school year of 2014-2015, Di An town has 3 more new schools put into use. They include Thong Nhat pre-school, Di An B primary school and Bui Thi Xuan primary school.
According to Tran Dang Nam, head of Di An town division of Education and Training, Di An B primary school offers about 1,200 seats for pupils, contributing to reduce admission pressure for the town in this academic year. In the coming time, if Dong Chieu and Thong Nhat primary schools are put into use, more 3,600 seats will be offered, cutting overload at schools”.
Increasing semi-boarding classes
Over the past years, despite skyrocket of the number of pupils, Di An town actively prepares for newly building and repairing material facilities of schools. This is an important premise for building schools in Di An into national standard schools and meeting demand of teachers, pupils and parents.
Tran Dang Nam, head of Di An town division of Education and Training added “Until now, the total pupils at Di An town sky-rockets more than 5,500. The town not only offers seats for pupils but increases 23 semi-boarding classes from the previous academic year. Accordingly, Di An and Di An B primary schools have 100% of semi-boarding classes. Right from ending the previous school year, the local division of education and training focused on repairing and adding material facilities in service for teaching and learning.
Lastly, at a survey visit to Di An town, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Vo Van Minh highly appreciated preparation of material facilities of Di An town administration. The vice chairman stressed “Though Di An town always increases in the number of pupils in every school year, Di An town sector of education and training remains stable all pupils’ demand on learning. In this school year, Di An town-based schools are opened, contributing to improve quality of education and training. In the coming time, Di An town should maintain and develop semi-boarding classes to bring secure in mind for laborers”.
