Di An town’s Youth Union has boosted cooperation with the Youth Unions of HCM City National Universities and the Youth Union of Thu Duc district in HCM city to excel at gathering young people and building urban civilization.
Since September 2013, the Youth Unions of Di An town, HCM city’s Police Agency, Thu Duc district, HCM city University of Sports and Physical Training, HCM city University of Forestry and Agriculture and HCM city People’s Security University have signed a joint plan on “The Youth Union take part in ensuring political security, social safety and order; practicing urban civilization lifestyle”. The joint plan has been implemented by the units in the period of 2013 and 2015 with the goal of promoting the campaign “Building up a green and modern urban area of HCM city National Universities”.
One of the
coordination’s highlights over the past time was the “Youth with traffic
culture” festive day with the participation of more than 1,000 students and
Youth Union members from Thu Duc district and Di An town. This was a great
activity with many programs, including those of planting trees, organizing
games with the theme of traffic safety, educating about traffic safety…Many
contests on safe driving, traffic safety…were also organized, bringing a
practical significance to the festive day. The units also held a progagandic
exhibition on the Law on Road Traffic and acknowledged students’ ideas to
minimize traffic accidents, reducing traffic jam in Di An town, HCM city…

The units’ cooperative activities have also contributed to raising students’ awareness of traffic culture, thereby promoting the campaign “Building up a green and modern urban area of HCM city National Universities”. All have aimed to uphold students and Youth Union members’ volunteer role in reducing traffic jam, contributing to building up traffic culture in the locality.
For in-depth coordination, Di An town’s Youth Union has implemented the joint plan to its affiliations. The Youth Union of Dong Hoa ward over time excelled at coordinating with the neighboring Youth Unions of HCM city National University’s Medical Faculty, Center for National Defence Education, HCM city University of Natural Sciences. As a result, there was a strong development on useful programs for students, Youth Union members and volunteer activities for the community.
On Tet and great holidays, the units over time joined hands in organizing “banh tet” (cylindric glutinous rice cake) making contests, presenting gifts to youngsters with difficult circumstances, visiting policy beneficiary families, giving mid-autumn gifts for children with difficult circumstances, offering Tet gifts for children at charity classes…
