The ceremony handing over a “Trade Union” house to a needy worker
Nguyen Thi Hong Tham, a needy worker of Chau Hoa Viet One-Member Co.Ltd. said that the town’s Labor Union mobilized SaiGon International One-Member Co.Ltd. and Yung Memorial Foundation to support VND40million for the female worker to upgrade her house. Upon this, she and her family members now have a stable accommodation, helping her keep her mind on work and rise up in life.
Under the theme of “Each trade union local brings a benefit to trade unionists”, the town’s Labor Union has successfully organized the “Gathering in Tet holiday” program with such significant activities as offering 1,000 gifts worth VND500million together with 143 train, bus tickets with a total expense of VND158million to laborers with difficult circumstances, giving 35 gifts worth VND12.7million for laborers hit by labor accidents…; launched the Workers’ Month, the Action Month on Labor Safety and Hygiene with the participation of more than 1,500 trade unionists; donated 100 gifts to needy laborers and 37 others to laborers hit by workplace accidents with a total value of VND68.5million…
Ninh Xuan Hien, Chairman of Thuan An town’s Labor Union said that over the past time, the town’s Labor Union guided trade union locals to set up grassroots-level democratic regulations; especially coordinated with relevant units to hold dialogues between leaders of the town, the province and trade union locals, absorbing more than 800 trade union officials and laborers with petitions on housing, welfare…The town’s Labor Union also organized direct dialogues with laborers to grasp their aspirations while building up competent trade union cadres with timely advice to higher authorities in satisfactorily dealing with petitions by laborers, thereby contributing to setting up harmonious, stable and advanced labor relations at agencies and units.
Quality of emulation movements enhanced
Not only taking good care of laborers, Thuan An town’s Labor Union and its branches have also attached special importance to implementing a lot of emulation movements and models following Uncle Ho’s teachings in line with their real situation, thereby contributing to effectively realizing the local tasks on socio-economic development.
The town has also regularly launched peak emulation stages, especially in the realization of the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW with subjects in association with studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. Accordingly, town-based agencies and units have set up their specific production plans in association with studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings. Especially, the emulation movement of “good, creative labor” has also contributed to arousing creativeness, passion, responsibility, self-reliance among officials, civil servants and laborers in each position.
After two years of implementing the Politburo’s Directive No.05-CT/TW, the Trade Union, officials, civil servants and laborers of the town have created plenty of patriotic emulation movements, contributing to promoting the local production-business activities. Enterprises, entrepreneurs and laborers in the province have also actively responded to site clearance activities, urban rejuvenation works and well taken part in the campaigns raising money to the Fund for the Poor, the Child Support Fund and many other social charity activities. Studying and following Uncle Ho’s teachings in association with emulation movements, namely “Good, creative labor”, “Good enterprise-Cultural agency”, “Two good performances”…have been promoted across the town, creating favorable conditions for officials, civil servants and laborers to uphold their capacity, building up stronger and stronger units…
Mr.Hien affirmed that the town’s Labor Union will further improve the quality of emulation movements, absorbed the involvement of numerous laborers…, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.
