Early August 7, Di An town’s Steering Board of the “Uniting and gathering young workers” Project adopted a plan on the realization of the project in the period of 2016 and 2021.
The town now has around 74,300 youths aged between 16 and 30, most of them are young workers. Under the project for 2011 and 2015, the town set up 279 sub-unions and clubs with more than 10,600 members. The local Women’s Union and Youth Union also developed 19 branches in businesses; regularly organized activities taking care of young workers such as providing them with free medical check-up, medicine, making law dissemination among them…
The project in the period of 2016 and 2021 will focus on developing Youth Union branches, promoting Party admission for outstanding Youth Union members, taking care of young workers’ legitimate needs and interests. Particularly, the town will set up 12 sub-unions, clubs for young workers and female workers at lodging facilities, at least 4 sub-unions for young workers at non-State businesses, establish 7 or 10 sub-unions for alien youths, train at least 10 outstanding young workers, 2 or 4 of whom will be admitted into the Party.
