Over the past time, Binh Duong province continued making positive changes in digital transformation activities. The Prime Minister also decided to take October 10 every year as the National Digital Transformation Day. This is an opportunity to evaluate the results of digital transformation of ministries, sectors and localities and to share experience and new ways to speed up the process of national digital transformation.

Determining that digital transformation is an inevitable trend, Binh Duong has issued many guidance documents on the implementation of digital transformation for departments, sectors and localities. Accordingly, departments, sectors, localities, State organizations and agencies are assigned the task of setting up schemes and plans for the implementation of digital transformation within fields they are in charge of. The implementation of digital transformation must be carried out synchronously with storage systems and databases that should be built in accordance with technical regulations and connected to the electronic database system of the province, ministries and central sectors. The digital transformation process has been implemented synchronously and effectively in all fields and localities are also helping Binh Duong approach and step into the professional playground, connecting and sharing experience to develop together.
As of now, most of departments, sectors, localities, State agencies and organizations in Binh Duong have partially implemented digital transformation. In addition, in the period of 2021-2030, the units have also set up roadmaps and plans to fully complete the work of digital transformation in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister and the guiding documents of provincial People's Committee. Possibly speaking that the work of implementing digital transformation has been implemented by departments, sectors and localities in a synchronous and drastic way.
Speaking at the recent regular session of provincial People's Committee, Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee suggested departments, sectors and localities to actively implement and regularly supervise the work of digital transformation in State agencies, actively coordinate and support the business community, especially small and medium-sized enterprises to implement digital transformation to increase production and business efficiency. Departments, sectors and localities need to step up the task of propagandizing, mobilizing and guiding people and enterprises - the main subjects to participate in the digitization utilities deployed by functional sectors and localities so that they understand and respond to. E-government needs to be associated with e-citizens and e-enterprises to be synchronous and effective.

Digital transformation needs to be started with people, taking people as the center and making them see technology as an easy and practical thing. From that fact, in order to spread and bring digital technology to every corner of life, promoting digital transformation in the whole society, Binh Duong has come up with creative ways. Recently, the province has deployed the “Community Digital Technology Group” model. These groups will be the extension arm of the steering committees of digital transformation at all levels to organizations, enterprises and localities in the uniform implementation of digital transformation activities in the whole province. The results of the activities of the groups will show the core and leading role of all-level authorities, mass organizations at grassroots level, organizations and enterprises in digital transformation activities; effectively implement the policy of taking people as the center in digital transformation so that people can see the values and benefits of digital transformation, thereby actively participating in and accompanying the process of digital transformation...

Provincial People's Committee has issued a plan to organize activities in response to the 2022 National Digital Transformation Day. With the theme of "digital transformation solves the society’s problems for people’s better life", activities to respond to the 2022 National Digital Transformation Day are held in October, with the focus from October 1 to 10. They include activities on launching and encouraging initiatives on digital transformation in agencies and units. Agencies and units should research and use available solutions or initiatives to create practical applications on digital transformation to solve social problems such as universalizing digital skills, using digital products, services...; organize activities of the community digital technology groups to disseminate and support people to use digital products and services; organize digital transformation activities of enterprises, encourage each unit to have at least one initiative on digital transformation in production and business activities, approach practical and effective digital platforms...
According to Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, the province’s activities in response to the 2022 National Digital Transformation Day are held from October 1 to 10 or in October 2022 with diverse, practical, efficient and economical types in line with the purpose, meaning, spirit as well as the theme of the 2022 National Digital Transformation Day, contributing to improving the Provincial Digital Transformation Index in 2022. These activities also aim at disseminating central and provincial policies to raise the whole people’s awareness of the role, meaning and benefits of digital transformation; create a driving force to accelerate and synchronize the cause of provincial digital transformation; accelerate the implementation of tasks on digital transformation, effectively implementing the national digital transformation program to 2025, with orientation to 2030.
The national digital transformation program approved by the Prime Minister with a 10-year vision will completely change the country when setting specific goals: Vietnam will be among the top 50 countries in terms of e-Government; digital economy contributes 30% of GDP; annual labor productivity increases by at least 8%; all people have the opportunity to access and experience smart essential services... To date, all 22 ministries, sectors and 63 provinces and cities have established steering committees on digital transformation; 17 ministries, sectors and 57 localities promulgate programs/plans/projects on digital transformation for the 5-year period.
