Born into the world as a handicap, Huynh Thi Ha Xuyen, who is now the 8th grade student of Tan Binh senior High School in Tan Uyen, has overcome difficulties to become a good family child and excellent student.
People are all moved to see Ha Xuyen, a little disabled girl receiving Duoc Sang Dong Du scholarship in Ho Chi Minh City. Her mother told us about how she was born after being affected by Orange Agent.
Ha Xuyen is helped by her mother to move around.
We, reporters, decided to come to her house at Group 5, Hamlet No. 3, Tan Binh village, Tan Uyen district and were surprised by a man with legs atrophy who introduced himself as her father under the name of Huynh Van Khoa.
“She is learning very good and praised every year,” he said while showing us certificates of learning credit of Ha Xuyen.
And in 8 years, her mother has been taking her to school, nurturing determination to good study for career later in her own life. Her studious learning and patience have won her good results.
“I can only stay in one place at a time and cannot help my parents although I really want to. Therefore, I can only learn at my best to make them happy,” she said with tears nearly running out from her eyes.
In her thoughts, good learning will earn better life and beyond from that she is making great efforts in learning for gratitude to teachers, parents, and beloved ones. She even dreams to become art designer.
“Ha Xuyen is an excellent student although is disadvantaged for her disability. She keeps trying hard to achieve great results. Besides, she is always open and friendly to others,” remarked her leading teacher.
And, her dream will be easier if more charity work is made.
