On the afternoon of August 24, provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control held an online conference with 9 districts, towns and cities on the implementation of social welfare packages and activities of quick response teams. Vo Van Minh, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired the conference.
According to reports from localities, their implementation of social welfare packages to support people and workers hit by Covid-19 pandemic is still slow, due to forces mobilized for pandemic prevention and control.
Regarding the activities of quick response teams, they coordinated with many local forces to regularly improve operational efficiency. Over the past time, in addition to patrolling and strictly controlling the observance of Covid-19 prevention and control, they also promptly supported people with healthcare and food...
Concluding at the conference, Mr. Minh asked localities that have not completed disbursement of social welfare packages to focus on solving the task this week and report to provincial People's Committee. In addition to the 1022 hotline and fight centers, localities, especially ones that are implementing the solution of "locking, freezing" need to set up hotlines and announce them in wards and through the mass media so that people contact for help when necessary.
