Early March 6, North Tan Uyen district’s Health Center held a talk show and a cooking competition on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 3, 1910-March 8, 2015).
During the talk show, the district’s Health Centers and its affiliates reviewed the tradition and historical significance of International Women’s Day; the role and historical value of the two Trung sisters’ Uprising to Vietnam and Vietnamese women; the role of Vietnamese women in the period of national industrialization, modernization…
The district’s Health Center also held a cooking competition with the theme of “Family meal with warmness of love”, absorbing 12 teams. The competition took place very animatedly and significantly, bringing joyful movements to the local women.
*The same day, the Women’s Union of Vinh Phu ward in Thuan An town held a get-together to mark the 105th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 1,975th anniversary of the two Trung sisters’ Uprising.
More than 250 local women attended the get-together. At the get-together, they also had a talk show with To Nhi A, Master of Psychology on the issue of family education.
*The Women’s Union of Binh Thang ward in Di An town also organized a get-together to mark the 105th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 1,975th anniversary of the two Trung sisters’ Uprising.
After the get-together, 45 candidates from the local Women’s Unions took part in a two-good women competition with 3 test parts: flower arrangement, multiple-choice on knowledge of life, women’s role in family and “Tam sao that ban” (Lost in translation) quiz.
On this occasion, the ward’s Women’s Union opened piggy banks, raising funds for the local poor women. The ward’s Women’s Union and its affiliates also presented gifts worth VND200,000 each to cadres over periods and members with difficult circumstances.
