Diverse activities during Workers’ Youth Week

In response to the Vietnam Workers’ Month, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has launched the 18th Workers’ Youth Week 2025 across the province. The program includes various practical activities to care for and support young workers.

Launching the “Digital Literacy for All” movement

To support young workers and laborers, provincial Youth Union has planned a special event called the “Day for Supporting Young Workers” with activities, including granting support funds to disadvantaged youth, honoring “Outstanding Young Workers”, Youth Union secretaries, outstanding leaders of clubs, teams and groups,  giving gifts to young workers while launching the “Digital Literacy for All” movement to assist young workers...

 

During the 2025 Youth Workers' Week, provincial Youth Union continues offering gifts and scholarships to the offspring of of disadvantaged laborers in the province

According to provincial Youth Union Standing Committee during this year's Workers’ Month, training sessions for the “Digital Literacy for All” movement will be held for key project staff, leaders of Youth Union branches, clubs and groups. Special attention is also given to caring for children of young workers and low-income laborers across districts and cities. Moreover, provincial Youth Union is coordinating with departments, district-level youth organizations and owners of the lodging facilities to organize programs such as “Happy Sunday”, “Weekend Playgrounds” and “Weekend Workers’ Street”. These include talk shows on traffic culture, communication and behavior skills and healthcare activities in areas with a large number of  young workers and model youth boarding facilities.

Simultaneously, provincial Youth Union has worked with provincial Support Center for Young Workers and Youth Activity Center to organize cultural performances, legal consultation and awareness-raising campaigns in model youth boarding facilities, social housing areas and other areas with a large number of young workers.

These efforts aim at enhancing the dissemination of the Party’s policies and the State’s laws on caring for and nurturing young workers, expanding solidarity networks and promoting their role in the country’s industrialization and modernization, contributing to upholding workers’role in the industrialization, modernization cause, participating in  the province’s socio-economic development.

Supporting, accompanying

To create an environment where workers can access policies, guidelines and knowledge to improve their lives and skills, district-level Youth Unions and their branches are actively participating in the peak week of Workers’ Youth Week, with 100% of units involved. District-level Youth Unions also coordinate with grassroots Youth Unions to organize support activities for young workers and their children. Together with departments and authorities, they are accelerating digital transformation in communication and implementing specific programs. Among these efforts, Youth Union branches are deploying the “Digital Literacy for All” movement linked with community digital transformation teams and volunteer groups for online public services. These groups help businesses, young workers, access online government services such as installing and activating digital ID accounts and navigating the National Public Service Portal and provincial-level platforms…

Phu Giao district’s Youth Union presents gifts to young workers under the 2025 Workers’ Month activities

Provincial Youth Unions at all levels are also focusing on improving the spiritual life of workers through cultural, artistic, and sports exchange activities in industrial zones, offering health consultation and care. They coordinate with other units to build playgrounds, sports facilities, reading spaces and provide essential items for the offspring of young workers. Additionally, they visit, offer gifts, mobilize support from businesses and donors for underprivileged workers; continue advocating for the establishment of model boarding houses and “dream rooms” for young workers facing difficulties. Training courses on fire prevention and safety are also provided in worker housing areas.

Tran Thi Diem Trinh, Secretary of provincial Youth Union emphasized that in addition to material support, provincial Youth Union also focuses on educating young workers about living and working according to the Constitution and the law. Campaigns include promoting “Civilized Behavior in the Digital Space”, cultural values and major Party and State policies on restructuring political systems, administrative units and the two-level local government model to build consensus among the people. A key task during Workers’ Youth Week is to mobilize and establish Youth Union and Youth Association organizations within non-state enterprises, in accordance with the target set for May 2025. This is part of the broader effort to unite and gather young workers in Youth Union activities.

According to provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, during this year’s Workers’ Month, provincial Youth Union is organizing training sessions on the “Digital Literacy for All” movement for project staff, core force members, Youth Union secretaries, leaders of clubs, teams and groups among young workers. At the same time, special attention is being given to supporting the offspring of young workers and laborers with disadvantaged circumstances in districts and cities across the province.
