In the 2016-2018 period, North Tan Uyen district’s Steering Board of the Project on “Uniting and gathering young workers” organized a lot of practical activities, thereby contributing to taking care of the spiritual life of the local young workers.
North Tan Uyen has so far set up 2 sub-unions for young workers at State-owned companies, 2 sub-unions for lodging female workers at non-State companies, 3 sub-unions for young workers, 6 sub-unions for lodging female workers and 1 sub-union for alien youths. To achieve the result, the district’s Steering Board of the Project on “Uniting and gathering young workers” made efforts in taking care of the spiritual life of young workers via such significant activities as maintaining dancing clubs, organizing contests on karaoke singing, football, volleyball…
In 2018, the district’s Steering Board of the Project also held a singing contest for young workers at lodging facilities. The district’s relevant sectors jointly implemented contents of the project. Noticeably, the district’s healthcare sector coordinated with the district’s Youth Union to realize a program on education of reproductive health and pre-marriage among young workers. The district’s Youth Union and Division of Culture-Information also jointly held many cultural-sports activities for young workers. Meanwhile, the district’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Women’s Union, Labor Union organized free vocational classes, contests on karaoke singing for female workers in communes of Dat Cuoc, Tan My and Binh My, a men’s mini-football tournament at non-State companies…
Along with entertainment activities, the district’s Steering Boards at all levels paid more attention to the material life of laborers. The district’s Youth Union, Women’s
Nguyen Trong Nhan, Secretary of North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union said that activities of sub-unions for young workers in the district have been maintained with focus on grasping members’ aspirations and making law dissemination among them. The district’s sub-unions for young workers at lodging facilities have also carried out such practical activities as organizing parties in celebration of members’ birthdays, cultural-sports contests… for members. All have contributed to improving young workers’ awareness in order to well realize the law.
