During the Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2025, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will carry out a series of peak activities, participating in volunteer movements and promoting the spirit of care and support for disadvantaged youth and residents with difficult circumstances.
Winter-Spring volunteer campaign
The volunteer movement during the Tet festival 2025 is being actively promoted by provincial and district-level Youth Unions through such programs as "Winter Volunteer Campaign", "Spring Volunteer Campaign" and "Spring at the Border"… These programs focus on organizing activities to care for and support youth and residents in disadvantaged areas. Special attention is given to ethnic minority people, policy beneficiary families, armed forces…

Accordingly, provincial Youth Union will organize the 2024 program "Winter Volunteer Campaign - 2025 Spring Volunteer Campaign" in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. This is one of the activities celebrating the success of the 9th Vietnam Youth Union congress for the 2024-2029 term. Through this program, provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation will award scholarships to disadvantaged children, hand over “lighting rural road” works and provide warm clothing and blankets for ethnic minority youth. In addition, the program will provide free medical check-ups and medicine for local residents, give gifts for policy beneficiary families and bicycles for underprivileged students.
In addition, provincial-level activities also include the "Spring for Children" program-visiting, encouraging and giving gifts for disadvantaged children in remote, border and deep areas; the "Binh Duong students with Historical and Cultural Sites" journey — donating gifts to border posts, providing gifts and school supplies to children from poor families, ethnic minorities and religious communities.
The volunteer activities organized by provincial Youth Unions and Youth Federations at all levels will raise awareness, foster love for the homeland, inspire national pride and strengthen solidarity within the community. These activities will also spread the beautiful cultural values of compassionate spring and the shared spirit of Tet among people.
Care implemented in a synchronous way
To care for, support youth and the community during the 2025 Tet festival, provincial Youth Unions and Youth Federations at all levels will unite and make efforts to carry out meaningful activities. Accordingly, they will uphold the enthusiasm of young people to perform their tasks, actively organize activities focused on caring for and supporting young workers, ethnic minority youth, religious youth, war veterans, wounded soldiers, families of martyrs, revolutionary contributors, heroic Vietnamese mothers and armed forces on duty during Tet. Additionally, they will carry out activities to support students who are unable to return home for Tet, visit and offer gifts to Youth Union cadres with difficult circumstances.
Provincial Youth Unions at all levels will proactively organize Tet care activities for disadvantaged youth and children
For affiliated units, provincial Youth Union has implemented Tet care activities in line with various targetted groups. Specifically, provincial Center for Youth Activities will proactively make programs and activities to support members of clubs, teams and groups under its management with difficult circumstances. Provincial Support Center for Young Workers will organize programs to assist young workers and children of disadvantaged young workers who are unable to return home for Tet. On the other hand, provincial Children’s Cultural House will carry out activities to support disadvantaged children in the province while provincial Youth Volunteers Team will focus on social welfare activities for former youth volunteers and young workers under its management. In this way, provincial Youth Unions and Youth Federations at all level will ensure the synchronous and effective implementation of Tet care activities for youth and residents with difficult situations.
In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels will organize their activities based the plans of provincial Youth Union's Standing Committee to set up and implement Tet care activities for youth and the community in preparation for the 2025 Tet festival and the local conditions and specific needs of each unit. Specifically, these units will focus on implementing "Paying Gratitude", "When drinking Water, Remembering its Source" movements, charitable and humanitarian activities, organizing emulation movements and revolutionary action programs… Furthermore, provincial Youth Unions, Youth Federations and Young Pioneer Organizations at all levels will diversify their Tet care programs to support various targeted groups, continuing promoting and spreading the spirit of mutual assistance and solidarity during the Tet festival.
