Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has just launched the Vietnam Workers' Month and Young Workers' Week 2023 among Youth Union branches. In response to the program, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized many useful and practical activities to accompany and take care of young workers and laborers.
Giving strength to young workers
At the launching program to respond to 2023 Vietnam Workers' Month and the 16th provincial Young Workers’ Week, provincial Youth Union gave 20 gifts worth VND 750,000 each for young workers with difficult circumstances. To implement the proposed plan, provincial Youth Union will organize a festival “giving strength for young workers", "Job day and job transaction session" in Thuan An city. During the festival, there are a series of activities to support workers such as organizing a "Zero dong" booth, a market-day selling goods at original prices, booths on legal advice, labor recruitment information, giving support packages, “dream” rooms for disadvantaged people. In addition, the festival's organization board provided health advice, medical check-up and medicine free of charge for young workers.
Along with that, provincial Youth Union organized a job introduction festival, the 6th contest "Conquering employers” 2023; gave training and held a talk show on industrial manners for young people in non-State enterprises. Provincial Youth Union was also proactive to organize a program "Bus giving strength to young workers" at sub-unions and lodging facilities, encouraging and offering essential gifts to workers with difficult circumstances.
This year, provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation have further maintained the organization of the program "Taking young people with typical achievements to their hometown to implement social welfare in 2023". This is a very meaningful program, helping young workers living away from home get conditions to return to their hometown and participate in the local volunteer activities. Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has also directed the Youth Unions of Thu Dau Mot, Di An, Thuan An, Tan Uyen cities and Ben Cat town where are crowded with young workers to organize support programs for young workers; honor outstanding young workers and call for all Youth Union branches to organize bus trips to give gifts for the local workers. On the other hand, provincial Youth Union at all levels have focused on taking care of children who are the offspring of young workers through giving playgrounds for children, offering gifts and scholarships to needy pupils…
In North Tan Uyen district, the district’s Youth Union launched the Vietnam Workers' Month, Young Workers’ Week and gave 10 gifts worth VND 500,000 for young workers with difficult circumstances. Do Ngoc Loi, Secretary of North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union said that the district’s Youth Union has organized many diverse activities such as making law dissemination, awarding support packages, dream rooms to young workers with difficult circumstances, kicking off the open sports tournaments, organizing "Zero dong” market-days, "Weekend playgrounds" and "Happy Sunday" at lodging facilities… during the 2023 Workers' Month and Young Workers ‘Week.
Accompanying employees
Provincial Youth Unions all levels have always paid attention to building model lodging facilities, aiming at taking care of the lives of workers. In response to the Workers' Month, provincial Youth Union has coordinated with sectors and units to mobilize the establishment of youth model lodging facilities in Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen cities and Ben Cat town. At the model lodging facilities, the Youth Union branches cooperated with proprietors to organize the programs "Happy Sunday", "Weekend Walking Street", make propaganda on labor safety and hygiene; disseminate traffic culture and communication skills...
In addition, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have focused on legal dissemination and healthy advice for employees. Specifically, provincial Youth Union has directed the Youth Unions of Di An city and Ben Cat town to make mobilization for establishing model lodging facilities for young people or giving dream rooms for young workers with difficult circumstance. Provincial Youth Union has also directed provincial Support Center for Young Workers to organize cultural and artistic activities; make law dissemination for young workers at lodging facilities and in social housing areas with a large number of young workers in the province. Provincial Youth Unions at all levels have continued reviewing, maintaining and mobilizing the tasks of establishing model lodging facilities, giving dream rooms for young people while mobilizing proprietors to give preferential electricity prices for lodgers and organizing training on fire prevention and fighting skills.
With the good promotion of the accompanying role of the Youth Union and Associations in the care and support of young workers, the activities of the Vietnam Workers' Month and Young Workers ‘Month 2023 will spread kindness and create trust, motivation to rise up for young workers.
