On the morning of August 3, provincial Historical Science Association held its 4th congress for the 2024-2029 tenure, with the participation of over 50 delegates representing 156 members of the association.
Currently, provincial Historical Science Association has 4 branches, with a total of 156 members. Members of the association are actively involved in making scientific research, writing about the local history, contributing articles to the association’s conferences and journals. Over the past time, the activities of the association received strong support from provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and relevant authorities. With this support plus the efforts by its Executive Board, the association carried out many knowledge dissemination activities during the previous term from 2018 to 2023.
It is known that provincial Historical Science Association contributed to compiling the local Party history for 8 communes, wards, districts, and cities within the province. The association also prepared the content for the historical stele "D war zone" at the national historic site of D war zone and conducted a research project titled "Supplementing the list of street names and building a database of street names in Binh Duong province". Additionally, the association paid attention to other activities on training knowledge dissemination, making appraisal, workshops, scientific consultancy and traditional education as well as media, scientific research... These activities positively contributed to the development of historical science in the province, spreading historical knowledge to people and educating younger generations about traditions.
The congress elected an Executive Board for the new term, consisting of 15 members, with Dr. Huynh Ngoc Dang re-elected as Chairman of the association for the 2024-2029 tenure.
