Duong Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, student of Binh Duong University is not only a talent in terms of singing, but also a flexible and enthusiastic Youth Union official at the school. In 2009, Mai was honored as one of the province’s outstanding youths in following and teaching Uncle Ho’s teaching.
Mai was born in a family without art
tradition. But, Mai early expressed her singing talent when she was a child.
She won high prizes at the singing contests in and out of the province,
including TDM town’s Hoa Phuong Do singing contest, the Vang Anh singing voice
contest 2004, the Southeastern pupil-student singing contest 2005, Binh Duong
University’s student singing contest 2008…
In addition to her singing and dancing talent, Mai is very interested in stories telling about Uncle Ho. She also frequently read and learns lessons about his exemplary morals. Upon this, she won first prize at Tuong Binh Hiep commune’s contest telling stories about Uncle Ho’s exemplary morals in 2008; was also one of the province’s outstanding youths in following Uncle Ho’s teachings in 2009…
Although having achievements in terms of art performance and story telling, Mai’s dream is to become a journalist to be able to go everywhere in order to upon all people. Hence, Mai decided to select a faculty of philology at Binh Duong University to make her dream.
Thanks to her flexibility and enthusiasm, Mai is always loved by friends and teachers at school. She is now member of the school’s Youth Union Executive Board, member of the Secretariat of the school’s Student Association and member of the Executive Board of the provincial Student Association. With Mai, the Youth Union task and singing are the driving forces for her to well fulfill her learning.
