Provincial Study Promotion Society yesterday held its 3rd congress for the 2016-2021 tenure, in attendance of Le Huu Phuoc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee (PSC), Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education; Nguyen Thanh Liem, member of PSC, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Public Relations, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

In the last tenure, the movements of study promotion-talent promotion and learning-based society construction in the province were promoted. All districts, towns, TDM city, communes and wards have so far set up study promotion society branches and the whole province now has a total of 91 community learning centers. Under the movement of building up families and clans with fondness for learning, the province has to date had 79,895 families winning the title of “fondness for learning” and 113 clans registering for the title. Provincial Study Promotion Society and its branches also mobilized VND240billion, offering help to 100,000 pupils, students and nearly 6,000 teachers.
In the new tenure, the society will strive to have 10% of population in the province being members and improve the quality of community learning centers. Till 2021, there will have 70% of families in the province recognized as ones with fondness for learning and 50% of communes, wards in the province with the title of community learning…
The congress also nominated a new Executive Board of the 3rd provincial Study Promotion Society for the 2016-2021 tenure with 25 members. Duong The Phuong, former Director of provincial Department of Education and Training was elected as Chairman of the society.
