Lively ambience welcomes Spring
Over the past 4 years, the provincial Sponsor Fund for Children in cooperation with the provincial Radio and Television Station has held a program named “Spring with needy children” with the purpose of bringing significant and happy Spring for them. In this year, the program was held on Jan. 12 with the participation of 380 needy children.
The participating children enjoyed dragon dance items and music items performed by singers from the HCMC and provincial Children’s House.
Le Thi Van, 5th grader from Dinh Thanh Primary School in Dau Tieng district, said “Enjoying the program, I was awarded a gift package and lucky money”.
“Over 5 programs of “Spring with needy children”, the provincial Sponsor Council of Fund for Children has enjoyed supports from organizations, businesses and individuals to offer free heart surgeries for 100 needy children, grant 1,500 scholarships, 200 bikes, 20 computers and over 10,000 gifts for excellent-but-poor students”, said Huynh Van Nhi, chairman of the local Sponsor Council of Sponsor Fund for Children.
On the occasion, socio-economic organizations and individuals granted VND1.5bil to the provincial Sponsor Fund for Children.
A significant Spring gift
This was the fifth time the provincial Sponsor Fund for Children held the program. Over the past days, the Fund paid gift visits to poor children across localities and social sponsor center.
Nguyen Thi Le Trinh, director of the Fund, said “Thanks to attention from all level leaders and donors, the Fund and the local department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs have helped disadvantaged children. We will continue helping them in the coming time”.
Aside from gifts from functional agencies, poor kids enjoyed supports from socio-economic organizations and donors. Poor children in remote commune of Phu Giao district’s An Thai commune received 100 gifts from An Phuoc Jail.
Streets are welcoming Spring and Spring is also coming with children. This year’s Spring early comes with unlucky children. The entire society’s attention seems to increase more strength for poor children.
