Early Mar.14, provincial Youth Union started a program in response to the “Earth Hour” campaign 2016 by a bicycle parade over streets in inner TDM city. More than 60 Youth Union members from Binh Duong University and Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology took part in the event.

Accordingly, each bicycle was decorated with propaganda banners “Turning off the lights in 60 minutes, effectively and economically using energy in 365 days”, “Binh Duong joining hands to combat climate change”, “Small actions, big significance”…Participants also hung posters, delivered leaflets disseminating the significance of the “Earth Hour” campaign; mobilized enterprises and locals to switch off non-essential lights and electrical appliances.
In the framework of the program, from Mar.15 to 19, provincial Youth Union will organize such activities as calling on motorbike drivers to turn off engines when waiting for more than 20 seconds before red lights to reduce gas emissions; launching a competition on “New vitality from recycled products” , a youth festival in response to the “Earth Hour” campaign…
The program aims to call for people from all strata to protect natural resources, save energy in order to combat climate change.
