In the morning of March 25, at the Center for Community Initiatives and Start-ups of Binh Duong province, the local Standing Committee collaborated with Binh Duong Power Company to organize a forum of "Earth Hour" under the theme of "Speak up for nature" in 2021.
The program focused on two contents of "Saving energy – Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and no more plastic waste in the natural environment” in order to raise awareness of the provincial youths about the role and importance of environmental protection in response to global climate change. Participating in the forum, the members exchanged with the program speaker on issues related to environmental protection and response to today’s climate change. At the same time, they watched the environmental reportage clip as a response to the Earth Hour campaign.
At the program, Binh Duong provincial Youth’s League and Department of Natural Resources and Environment signed the regulations to coordinate the implementation of the project of “Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth’s League participation in environmental protection and response to climate change in 2019-2022 with many drives of organizing banners, distributing propaganda flyers, "25 seconds of turning off the car engine", cleaning the roads, mobilizing and saving 20,000 kWh of electricity during the 60-minute light off of the Earth Hour campaign in 2021.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the online quiz to learn about the Law on Environmental Protection in 2021 awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 4 third prizes to the contestants.
