Easing pains by love

Pains and losses

We arrived at victim Tran Sy Nho in Nhon Phu ward, Quy Nhon city on a light sunny day. His small house was sagged after a violent flood. Story of Nho’s family made the delegation members shed tears. On the night of the historic flood, Nho and his son arrived at lonely families to help them. Unfortunately, when the flood became stronger, they were dipped by the flood on the way home. However, Nho’s son escaped the death whilst Nho passed away forever.

Like Nho, Ngo Van Ba in Luat Binh area, Phuoc Quang commune, Tuy Phuoc district was also died by the flood. When the flood appeared, Ba managed to take his cow herd to a safe place. Unfortunately, he was dipped by the flood.

There are many sad stories of people dipping by the historic flood. In the past historic flood, Binh Dinh province had up to 18 deaths and lost people. If combining with other provinces of Quang Ngai, Quang Nam, Kon Tum and Gia Lai, the number of deaths rose up to 41.

Easing pains

Many people can’t stop tears when witnessing innocent eyes of two children in their mother’s funeral. Their mother named Nguyen Thi Truc in Nhon Phuc commune, An Nhon town was dipped by the flood while she and her husband named Khanh were finding food for her pig herd.

Bui Van Chien, vice general director of Becamex IDC encouraged Khanh and granted VND2mil to him. “We know that material value can not compensate spiritual pain that you and your children are suffering. However, with love and sympathy of Binh Duong people, we hope that your family will overcome the pain”, Chien said.

On Nov. 24 and 25, the rescue delegation arrived at 18 families which have relatives died by the flood.

On Nov. 24, the rescue delegation also paid gift visits to relatives of two teachers died by the flood in KBang township, Dak Po district, Gia Lai province. When seeing her colleague named Nguyen Thi Yen swept by the flood, teacher Nguyen Thi Hang Nga managed to help Yen. Unfortunately, both of the teachers passed away. Teacher Nga was found out 2 hours later while Yen was discovered after 7 days of searching.
