For improving the quality of teaching and learning foreign languages in schools, schools in the area of Thu Dau Mot City have done pretty good the project of teaching foreign languages. Thereby, students are taught 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. According to Office of Education and Training, Chu Van An Secondary School performs well in typical school of teaching and learning foreign languages; Nguyen Viet Xuan Junior High School teaches well Japanese to students in 6, 7, 8th grades; Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Phu Cuong, Dinh Hoa Secondary School opens one English-intensive class for each grade level.
In the academic year 2017-2018, the city's education and training sector continues to implement the project "Improving the quality of teaching and learning English in high schools in the 2012-2017 school year". Accordingly, the sector will continue to foster and standardize teaching staff of foreign languages, meeting standards of teacher occupations and English teacher competency framework.
