"I love the sea, the islands of my homeland" is the theme of the summer camp in Thuan An City in 2022, organized by the Steering Committee for Youth Activities of Thuan An city at the 434th Artillery Brigade under the 4th Army Corps. Participating in the camp, the team members experienced a day of learning at the 434th Artillery Brigade through the program of "training together, learning to assemble the interior." Accordingly, the children had the opportunity to see martial arts performances, dismantling and assembling guns, visit vegetable gardens and fish ponds to increase production, visit the technical zone of artillery, weapons and military equipment.
At the same time, the children also participated in creative painting with the theme of "I love the sea and islands of my homeland", participate in cultural exchange activities with the theme of "Thuan An children celebrate the Youth Union Congress", and join campfire activity. Organizing camps with topics related to borders and islands or organizing a journey to the source to visit places of revolutionary cause, talking about borders, sea and islands, protecting sovereignty and territorial integrity are the forms of youth education. In the past time, in addition to educational activities, Thuan An Youth Union also organized many activities to take care of and support soldiers and people in harsh circumstances in border areas and islands. It has also organized exchanging activities between Thuan An youth and youth union members, armed forces and people who are living and performing the task of preserving and defending the fatherland in the borderlands, seas and islands of the fatherland of Vietnam. For example, at the beginning of the year, Thuan An Youth Union organized "Thuan An Youth Journey for the Fatherland Border" in 2022 and the program of "Volunteer Winter - Spring Volunteer", medical examination, medicine distribution and presentation of 150 gifts to children at 2 Dinh Bo Linh schools at Dac O commune of Bu Gia Map district in Binh Phuoc province, presentation of many gifts to Dac O Commune Union and Dinh Bo Linh School. At the same time, the city's youth also gave a youth project worth VND 50 million along with 1 ton of rice, 10,000 medical masks and 25 gifts to soldiers of Dac O border post.
At the same time, Thuan An Youth Union also organized the journey of "Thuan An Youth for the Fatherland Sea in 2022 continuing the tradition of firmly stepping into the future. Accordingly, the delegation visited the Gac Ma Memorial in Khanh Hoa province where they offered incense and flowers at the Gac Ma Soldier Memorial, and together reviewed historical traditions, expressed deep gratitude to the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy who had sacrificed heroically to protect the sacred sea and islands of the fatherland; at the same time, propagating about our country's sovereignty over the sea and islands.
