Early June 22, TDM city’s Youth Union held a conference to partially review its activities in the haft of the 2012-2017 tenure.
The city’s Youth Union and its affiliates over the past time implemented a lot of effective models, contributing to taking care of difficult cases and promoting development among Youth Union members, teenagers and children. They engaged in activities of environmental hygiene; visited and presented 320 gifts to heroic Vietnamese mothers; donated 441 units of blood; built 10 houses of compassion; gave 3,000 gifts for poor children…
Noticeably, the model of “One day’s salary for national border areas and Thu land’s youth towards national sea, islands” collected more than VND224mln. The fund was used to carry out youth works, present gifts to needy children and heroic units in border areas and on islands.
Under the model of “mending puncture free of charge”, the city’s Youth Union and its affiliates helped repair more than 318 motorbikes while providing thousands of visitors with leaflets, food and drink with a total expense of more than VND280mln. The city’s Youth Union will focus on education of revolutionary morality, promote “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals” among Youth Union members; attach special importance to practical activities, upholding the local youth’s volunteer and creative role.
On this occasion, 10 collectives and 16 individuals were honored by TDM city’s People’s Committee. The city’s Youth Union also commended and rewarded 4 collectives, individuals for their excellent performance in the local Youth Union task, teenagers and children’s movements (photo).
