Joining hands to take care of young workers’ spiritual and material lives is a noble deed, expressing the local authorities’ attention to laborers. This has also received response of the whole society, helping young workers overcome difficulties and have a strong attachment with Binh Duong homeland.
From caring for workers’ material livelihood…
The 5th provincial Week for Young Workers got very animated with many significant activities, contributing to taking care of young workers’ material livelihood.
Particularly, the “Joyful market-day” brought Vietnamese goods to young workers. Participating enterprises offered discounts of 5% and above on most products. The total value of goods at the market day was estimated at VND1.3bln. The organizers also presented 60 gifts to young workers with difficult circumstance; held art performances and made law dissemination among young workers.
The “Festive day for young workers” program is one of the
week’s substantial activities. It tool place jubilantly with many activities such
as free haircut, legal consultancy... On this occasion, provincial Business
Bloc’s Youth Union donated 500 gifts worth VND20mln to young workers with
difficult circumstance in the My Phuoc Industrial Park.

Provincial Support Fund for Young Workers with Extremely Difficult Circumstance also considered and presented 60 cash gifts valued at VND46mln for needy young workers. During the week, provincial Young Physicians’ Club joined hands with many other units to provide free medical check-ups, medicine and gifts for more than 1,000 young workers and people with a total expense of more than VND70mln…
Introducing jobs to young workers also took place very animatedly with the program of “Job festive day”. There were 57 participating enterprises and 1,092 laborers were directly recruited during the program.
…To caring for workers’ spiritual livelihood
The program of “Lighting up dreams for young workers-I love Binh Duong” and “Honoring exemplary role-models in the task of gathering young workers” contributed to encouraging young workers to rise up in life. It absorbed 600 Youth Union members and workers representing 600 sub-unions for young workers and clubs for female youths at lodging facilities.
In addition, many measures to improve vocational training and employment creation were discussed at the workshop entitled “Binh Duong’s young workers with career and employment”.
Provincial steering boards at all levels also organized 100 cultural-sports activities for young workers, contributing to creating useful playgrounds for them. For example, Di An town held a program of “Youth Film week” for young workers, art performances and meetings between the local leaders and young workers.
Speaking at the conference reviewing the 5th provincial Week for Young Workers, provincial People’s Committee Vice-Chairman Huynh Van Nhi honored sectors and departments for their achievements during the week. For better results, sectors and departments need to have a close cooperation, boost the propaganda work via mass media and organize meetings between leaders and young workers in order to take good care of their material and spiritual lives…
