Thuan An town’s Women’s Union has creatively implemented the campaign of “family with five Nos, three Cleans” launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union, significantly contributed to the local socio-economic development.
The campaign of “family with five Nos, three Cleans” has been realized by Thuan An town’s Women’s Union since 2010 with 8 criteria: no poverty, no criminal offence and social evil, no domestic violence, no third child, no malnourished children, dropouts and clean home, clean kitchen and clean street.

To absorb members’ participation in the campaign of “family with five Nos, three Cleans”, the town’s Women’s Union over the past time instructed its branches to set up models in line with the local real situation in association with criteria of the civilized urban, new rural construction program and the “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle in residential areas” campaign, namely “Raising piggybanks”, “No third child”, “Women against prostitution”, “Trading in safe and fresh food”…All contributed to promoting the campaign among members.
With a determination of well realizing the campaign’s criterion on no poverty, which is seen a lever for the remainder, the town’s Women’s Union over the past time rechecked and assessed the economic situation of member households to be able to help them in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction via concrete actions such as providing them with loans, working days, sci-tech transfer…Since 2010, the local Women’s Union has mobilized 6,691 well-off women to offer help of more than VND16.2billion to 20,055 poor ones; considered and disbursed more than VND4.2billion in loan for 3,632 women under the campaign of the “Saving Day for Poor Women”; especially built, upgraded 39 houses of compassion, awarded 45 scholarships to needy children and carried out 4 emulation works with total expense of more than VND1.3billion…
An Son is one of Thuan An town’s outstanding communes in the campaign of “family with five Nos, three Cleans”. Noticeably, locals have good awareness of environmental hygiene, which is formed up from the campaign. Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of the town’s Women’s Union said that the campaign has actually gone into the lives of officials, members and contributed to effectively realizing the campaign of “All people consolidate to build cultural lifestyle, civilize urban and new rural areas”.
To achieve the above-mentioned results, the town’s Women’s Union actively coordinated with the local Fatherland Front Committee, Division of Cultural-Information…to organize a lot of support activities for women to carry out criteria of the campaign. Hence, the campaign has step by step gone into the lives of members, contributing to building happy families. Possibly speaking, with creative and practical actions, the campaign has actively contributed to changing the local women’s awareness, helping them well show their role in family and society.
