Upholding the tradition of “mutual love, mutual affection”, provincial Fatherland Front Committees (FFCs) at all levels and their membership organizations have taken good care of the lives of the poor. Provincial Mobilization Board of the Fund for the Poor has carried out a lot of practical activities for the poor, including providing free medical check-up, building great unity houses, presenting gifts on Tet and great holidays, awarding scholarships to poor pupils…

The above efforts have contributed to reducing the number of poor households in the province under the new poverty line to 4,186 or 1.52% of total and the number of poor-near ones to 4,638 or 1.68% of total.

Nguyen Phung Trung, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs said that the province has well realized socialization of the mobilization work in taking care of the poor. Mobilization work improved

Provincial Mobilization Board of the Day for the Poor has just mapped out its plan on mobilizing organizations and individuals to make contributions to the poor, thereby joining hands with the State to well realize the national target on poor reduction while improving the quality of the campaign.

According to Pham Hong Thang, Vice-Secretary of provincial Youth Union, the Mobilization Board needs to prepare photos and films about the operations of provincial Fund for the Poor and send them to enterprises and organizations. This will make the mobilization work get more effective.

Ho Hoang Nam, Vice-Chairman of provincial Red Cross Society said that provincial Red Cross Society has made efforts in taking care of the poor. Provincial Fund for the Poor needs to recheck a list of those in need of help in order to give timely help for them.

Meanwhile, Huynh Van Nhi, Chairman of provincial FFC cum Deputy Head of provincial Mobilization Board of the Day for the Poor said that provincial Fund for the Poor has brought practical effects, creating a motivation for the local economic development and reducing the rate of the local poor households. For better results, provincial FFCs will further mobilize more organizations and individuals to offer help to the poor while diversifying support activities for them.
