Binh Duong is located on important routes of National Highways 13, 14, trans-Asia route and so on. Owing to advantage of traffic, the number of vehicles going through the province has become denser with about 3 million vehicles per year. To excel traffic safety and order, the provincial Public Security in cooperation with departments and agencies has launched plans and measures to improve efficiency of traffic order and safety.
Accordingly, promulgation on traffic law has been boosted up. Planning and building of infrastructure facility have been paid attention. The province has mapped out projects and planning on traffic development till 2020.
On railway routes, every day has 24 passenger trains, 6 incoming and outgoing goods trains. In terms of waterway route, the province has 4 main rivers including Dong Nai, Thi Tinh, Sai Gon and Song Be with the total length of 252km. The local waterway traffic policemen often implement patrols and propagate law on waterway traffic for local people.
However, under pressure of population increase and rapid development, traffic accidents remain complicated. To reach efficiency of traffic safety and order, local functional agencies have mapped out measures of right awareness on role, importance of traffic, responsibility of State management for traffic field, training and granting certificate to helmsmen, control of operation of ports and ferries and among others.
