In 2016, the whole province has set a target of introducing jobs to 45,000 laborers. To achieve this target, since early this year, localities and units in the province have been proactive to promote job introduction by many measures.
Since early this year, Ben Cat town has strengthened a task on introducing jobs to laborers. The town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has teamed up with wards and communes in the town to catch laborers’ demand for employment in order to introduce them to enterprises. The town has also continued taking measures to create advantageous conditions for enterprises to well maintain and expand their production-business activities, aiming to create additional new jobs for laborers.

According to Phan Duc Tin, Deputy Head of Ben Cat town’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the whole town is now home to around 354 enterprises inside industrial parks (Ips) and 1,131 ones outside Ips. In 2015 alone, the division introduced jobs to 5,000 laborers. The division’s target for 2016 is to strive to introduce jobs to more than 5,000 laborers.
To fulfill the above target, localities in the town have been proactive to introduce suitable jobs to laborers. The town has also coordinated with enterprises with the great demand for labor recruitment to generate jobs for laborers. In addition, the town has attached special importance to opening from 10 to 15 vocational training courses for 450 rural laborers. Skills trained at the courses are consistent to the society’s demand at present. They include cooking for parties, sewing, forklift truck driving…After these training courses, learners can generate jobs by themselves or be introduced jobs at town-based firms, thereby helping them stabilize their lives.
Also like Ben Cat town, many other localities in the province have flexibly taken measures to create jobs for laborers right from early this year, which is closely linked with features and advantages of each locality. Accordingly, along with promoting production models, they have taken initiative in working with enterprises to generate jobs for laborers. They have also given direct support for laborers to seek jobs by themselves. Nguyen Trung Phong, worker of Phu Xuan Co.Ltd. in TDM city is a typical example for this. Thanks to being supported by the city’s Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, he has got a stable job at the company.
Provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs have also conducted provincial Job Placement Center to boost activities in terms of job consultancy and job introduction for laborers, organize job transaction sessions, helping bring labor information to enterprises that need laborers. After the Tet holidays, the center has actively tapped enterprises’ needs for labor recruitment in order to be proactive to inform them at job transaction sessions. Tens of enterprises have so far had registration of labor recruitment at the center with thousands of positions for laborers. This is seen as a useful linking channel to generate jobs for laborers.
With measures taken in a synchronous way right from early this year, it is hoped that many laborers will get stable jobs, contributing to stabilizing their lives, ensuring social welfare, step by step meeting requirements of the local industrialization and modernization.
In 2015, the province offered jobs to more than 46,550 laborers or 103% of the year’s plan and absorbed 3,242 laborers from other localities through labor linking programs. In addition, provincial Job Placement Center organized 25 job transaction sessions with more than 186,000 laborers introduced jobs and more than 50,000 others offered jobs.
