Employment opportunities for laborers in early year

As of February 23, more than 90% of businesses have resumed operation after the Tet holiday. This year, there were 50% of workers staying in the province for Tet, due to Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, they have come back to work on time. However, province-based businesses also need to recruit tens of new laborers at their production expansion.

Needs

Many announcements of labor recruitment from are hung along streets and areas in province-based industrial parks. As recorded, there are 4 companies placing their announcements of labor recruitment on DT743 street in Thuan An city. It is known that VFP Industries Co.Ltd. in Tan Uyen town, Viet Hsing International Garment Co.Ltd. in Tan Uyen town and Thuan An city now need to recruit 100 and 500 workers with preferential policies, respectively.

Many companies set up labor recruitment points on streets

Whilst, many companies in the Dai Dang industrial park in TDM city’s Phu Tan ward now need a large number of laborers. TP Land Co.Ltd., which is specialized in making home furniture items and high-class metal products, has announced to recruit 100 female workers with the average income of between VND7million and VND12million per month. Hung Der Industries Co.Ltd., which is specialized in manufacturing fans, has also needed laborers in many other positions, especially unskilled laborers with no limit in quantity.

To meeting requirements for production after Tet, some companies have announced to recruit from several hundreds to 1,000 laborers. For example, Shyang Hung Cheng Co.Ltd., RK Resources Co.Ltd. need additional 500 laborers each while Yazaki EDS Vietnam needs another 800 laborers in early this year.

Dang Kim Chi, President of VSIP’s Trade Union said that according to statistics, enterprises with trade union locals under the VSIP’s Trade Union now need 20,000 laborers.

Increasing incomes, opening up opportunities for laborers

Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh, Chairwoman of the town’s Labor Union said that more workers returned to work than the same period of the previous years. Many workers stayed in the province for Tet, so the situation of workers returning to work late or staying in their hometowns to seek jobs did not occur. There was no fluctuation of labour shortages after Tet. It is known that many enterprises have needed to recruit more workers from ahead of Tet in order to meet their demand for production expansion.

Meanwhile, Doan Nam Le Thien, Vice-Chairman of Di An city’s Labor Union said that there is no fluctuation of workforce in early this year. Currently, province-based businesses need a large number of laborers at their demand for production expansion.

On the other hands, increasing demand for labor recruitment from enterprises in the province will open up opportunities for immigrant laborers. Many businesses have taken good care of the lives of laborers via increasing basic salaries, allowances together with other preferential policies, in recent years, aiming to keep them.

Nguyen Dinh Khanh, Vice-Chairman of provincial Labor Union said that in order to stabilize enterprises ‘business-production activities, especially in labor recruitment, the unit has instructed trade union locals with Zalo groups for sharing information about labor recruitment. The unit has also encouraged enterprises to assign personnel departments the task of coordinating with trade union locals ‘executive boards to directly come to other localities to grasp the local people’s demand for seeking jobs while teaming up with trade unionists, laborers to support enterprises in labor recruitment.

In addition, provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has conducted provincial Job Placement Center to organize job transaction sessions, online job transaction floors; well realized policies on unemployment insurance for laborers; linked with other localities to supply laborers for enterprises as well as opening up opportunities for immigrant laborers.
