Although the number and quality of national awards have increased annually, the number of students selected for international Olympiad teams remains limited. Therefore, the education sector has identified innovation and quality enhancement in key education as one of its important tasks in each academic year. In addition to investing in infrastructure and improving the quality of staff and teachers, provincial DOET implemented various measures to promote the "Good Teaching - Good Learning" movement and focused on nurturing excellent students to enhance the quality of key education in schools.

As one of the province’s key institutions for key education, Hung Vuong Specialized High School has been a major contributor to the province’s academic teams, with many students achieving high rankings in national and regional competitions. Multiple assessments and mock exams are conducted to track the progress and quality of competition teams. Additionally, students participate in competitions to gain experience and compete against teams from other provinces and cities. The school also provides opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills in training excellent students.

The education sector has consistently innovated its student selection and training processes at all levels to maintain achievements and further improve results. To develop key education, all nine districts and cities in the province have secondary schools designated as high-quality institutions. So far, these high-quality secondary schools have become pioneering models for educational innovation across the province.

Furthermore, provincial DOET has focused on improving the organization of excellent student competitions at all levels, including the Mathematics Olympiad – Luong The Vinh Award, the Literature Olympiad – Sao Khue Award, the Olympiad for Natural and Social Sciences. Through these competitions, the education sector has identified talented students in schools and provided further training for them to attend provincial and national contests. These competitions have also created opportunities for students to interact, learn and exchange knowledge, contributing to overall development in teaching and learning quality within the province’s educational institutions.

Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of provincial DOET emphasized that with education recognized as a top national priority, Binh Duong’s education sector has been implementing breakthrough solutions to innovate and enhance the quality of key education.
