Universities in the province have kicked off the regular university enrollment in 2022. According to this year's enrollment scheme, many schools apply the method of admission by transcripts; thereby, increasing the chances of getting into universities for students. In particular, universities have opened new majors, helping students have more options for their future study paths.
Candidates are registering for enrollment by academic transcripts at Thu Dau Mot University
Enrollment applications started
Since March 8, the Enrollment Center of Thu Dau Mot University has began to be crowded with candidates coming in and submitting applications. Nguyen Mai Anh, a student of a high school in Thuan An city, expressed that her academic performance was quite good, but she still chose to apply by this method, which is both safe and not pressured in the upcoming high school graduation exams.
Enrollment based on academic records helps Thu Dau Mot University consider enrollment in two ways: Considering the average score of 3 semesters (2 semesters of grade 11 and semester 1 of grade 12) and the average score of students at their 12th grade subjects. The school spends 60% of the total target of each major to conduct enrollment in this form. In order to be admitted, students must achieve the total score of 3 subjects in the selection combination plus the priority scores, if any, from the floor score announced by the university. In each form, candidates can register for 2 choices and rank them in order of priority from highest to lowest. To facilitate candidates, the university implements 3 channels to receive documents at the same time, which are, direct submission at the Enrollment Center, by post or online. Candidates still have plenty of time to choose as on August 10, they will end up receiving enrollment documents according to academic records.
Similarly, the 2022 enrollment of other universities in the province is also maintained in the form of enrollment according to the transcripts. To facilitate all candidates, Binh Duong University always welcomes candidates to apply for enrollment by this method. But at this time, many candidates are interested and come to apply for admission more than other months of the year.
Offering diverse forms of enrollment, Vietnam-Germany University has also announced to receive admission records until May 2. As an international institution, the university's enrollment requirements are also stricter. Candidates applying online must take the TestAS sample test and the sample English test given by the institution.
New majors in the selection
Following the development trend, universities in the province open new majors to meet the human resources of the society, which will be opportunities for candidates in the province to choose suitable careers and favorite fields in their home province. As a multidisciplinary university, Thu Dau Mot University continuously opens new majors to meet the human resource needs of the society. In this year's enrollment, candidates have more career options as the university offers two new majors of public management and biomedical engineering. In particular, this year the university offres the majors in English for business administration, information technology, chemistry, electrical engineering, preschool education, and primary education as a part of the solution to train high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of international integration of the country.
Since the end of 2021, Binh Duong University of Economics and Technology joins Van Lang Education Group to offer new majors of public relations, logistics and supply chain management, Korean, English, restaurant management and food services.
In order to attract good candidates, in each year’s enrollment, universities offer attractive attraction policies. In such way, Eastern International University (EIU) offered various valuable scholarships for candidates like entrance scholarships, scholarships to encourage learning and scholarships from businesses with the value up up to VND 10 million. Accordingly, the scholarship recipients are candidates graduating from high school in 2022 with an average score of 8.0 or higher in all 12th grade subjects, and matriculating into EIU for the 2022 enrollment; candidates graduating from high school in 2022 with the average score of 5 semesters from 8.0 or higher, matriculating into EIU in the enrollment in 2022; candidates graduating from high school in 2022 with results of the National University Competence Assessment exams in Ho Chi Minh City in 2022 from 850/1,200 points or more; candidates graduating from high school in 2022 admitted to EIU for the 2022 enrollment and achieve sports achievements. In addition, EIU also offers talent scholarships and full scholarships.
Likewise in Thu Dau Mot University, every year, it spends 8% of its official tuition revenue for a scholarship funding to encourage learning and mobilize from social resources to form scholarship fund to support students to overcome difficulties in learning.
In 2022, the remarkable point of the enrollment regulations is to allow universities to diversify their enrollment methods such as the base on the results of the high school graduation exams, private placement exams or enrollment by group of international transcripts and certificates.
