Ensuring 2023 high school graduation exam to take place safely and seriously

On the afternoon of May 22, Nguyen Loc Ha, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

As planned, the 2023 high school graduation exam will take place from June 27 to 30 and June 30 will be a backup test date. This year's graduation exam in Binh Duong belongs to the Examination Council No. 44. The whole province has 14,334 candidates registering to take the exam at 29 test sites (including 1 backup test site). Among 14,334 candidates registering for the exam, 14,218 will participate in the exam while 116 will not take the exam, due to the review of academic records.

Provincial Department of Education and Training (DoET) will cooperate with other departments, sectors and the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to organize this year’s high school graduation exam, ensuring serious, honest, objective and fair requirements under the regulations. As of now, provincial DoET has established a delegation to inspect material facilities at 29 exam sites and 1 site marking exam papers from April 4 to 13, 2023 and will organize a review in May 2023… Along with preparing conditions for the exam, the province has attached special importance to Covid-19 prevention and control, ensuring safety for candidates.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Ha asked for provincial DoET to review material facilities at exam sites while closely coordinating with departments, sectors and localities to prepare all backup plans so that the exam takes place safety and seriously, avoiding errors. “This year, the pandemic is under control, but it is still necessary for us to have a clear and consistent plan for all exam sites in the province. Especially, provincial DoET and localities must cooperate with schools to review and know a list of candidates with difficult circumstances to actively care for and encourage to enter the exam with the best results", he emphasized.
