Ensuring safety and significance of provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities

On the afternoon of November 25, Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the 4th provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities as well as the 2024 conference on exemplary production and business models, cultural-artistic exchange for ethnic minority communities.

The congress will consist of three main contents: the congress’s program, a conference on exemplary production and business models and a cultural exchange event featuring folk music, arts and sports activities for ethnic minority communities. So far, the preparatory work for organizing the congress has been coordinated by provincial People's Committee Office-the Standing Agency of the Steering Committee-along with relevant departments, agencies and localities to ensure that the progress is on track. The event is scheduled to take place on December 7 and 8, 2024, in Dau Tieng district.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Ha expressed his general agreement with the plans prepared by relevant units. He urged the units to proactively carry out their tasks, ensuring that all aspects of the event are carefully prepared, safe, meaningful and create a lively and joyful atmosphere.

For the main program of the congress, the units and localities must take the initiative and work closely together to ensure full participation from all relevant groups. Regarding cultural activities, provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism should set up a detailed plan for cultural-artistic exchange and sports events, ensuring that all participating units are fully involved, actively engage in the competitions, contributing to creating a joyful atmosphere.

Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman emphasized that for the display of typical products from the province, relevant units should proactively manage booths to ensure diversity and richness, highlighting the unique characteristics of each locality. Special attention should be given to showcasing products that are specific to ethnic minority communities.

For the congress successfully carried out, media agencies and relevant departments should intensify propaganda through various channels to create an exciting atmosphere for the event. Specifically, Dau Tieng district, where the congress will take place, must thoroughly prepare security measures and ensure food safety-hygiene during the event.
