Early October 24, Tran Thanh Liem, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee had a talk show entitled “Some matters on social welfare for laborers at province-based industrial parks and compounds during the current period” with learners of provincial training course for would-be leaders.
Binh Duong is an industrial locality with thousands of laborers, 85% of whom were immigrants. This resource is very important for the local industrial development. The province has also paid attention to providing accommodations for laborers, giving them vocational training, well realizing policies on social insurance, health insurance for them... So far, the province’s social welfare work for laborers has reached positive results. Their lives have been improved with many issues pertaining to housing, education, health and employment basically solved.
For social welfare for laborers better implemented, the province will focus on sustainable poverty reduction, well realize policies on health and education, boost insurance system; build social houses; mobilize all social resources to take part in social welfare work…The implementation of the above issues will greatly contribute to the local sustainable development.
