Traffic policemen spur patrol to prevent violations on traffic safety and order.
Since April 2015, the provincial People’s Committee has steered sectors and agencies to drastically implement many measures in service for people’s demand on transportation as well as ensure traffic order and safety in the upcoming holiday.
Ensuring quality and safety of transport service
Expectedly, the number of passengers will sky-crocket in the coming holiday. Therefore, to well implement passenger transport during the long holiday from April 25 to May 3, 2015, the provincial department of Transport asked transport units, coach terminals across the province to carry seriously out detailed contents such as holding training classes for drivers, improving quality of passenger service, banning overload transport and harmful chemical transport and more.
Passenger transport means must be tested to ensure technical safety, hygiene and more. Meanwhile, transport of unquarantined poultry and cattle and animal’s food on public means will be banned. Besides, work on order and security will be strengthened across coach terminals as well as information on ticket price and route schedule and time will be announced publicly.
According to Nguyen Huu Tuan, vice director of the provincial Transport Department, traffic inspection force will constantly hold inspections on operation of coach terminals and transport enterprises during the long holiday in a bid to assure traffic order and safety.
Inspection and patrol of traffic safety spurred
In order to ensure maximum safety for people during the long holiday, work on traffic safety and order will be paid much attention by functional agencies. Tran Van Nam, chairman of the provincial People’s Committee steered relevant agencies and sectors to focus on implementing contents such as promulgation on law on road traffic, mobilizing people to wear helmets when riding motorbikes and not to ride motorbike when drinking alcohol and so on.
Moreover, Tran Van Nam asked force of traffic inspection to work with traffic policemen and other functional agencies to spur inspection on traffic safety.
Meanwhile, traffic policemen will accelerate inspection and patrol and seriously solve violations of traffic safety and order.
In addition, the provincial People’s Committee chairman asked localities to check additional installment of signs, traffic lights on routes managed by district level agencies. Meanwhile, district level public security force should spur mobile patrol and solve seriously violations on traffic safety and order and simultaneously control passenger transportation on waterway means closely.
