In the morning of December 14, Provincial People’s Committee Chairman le Thanh Cung, who is also Head of “Day for the poor” mobilization board, launched a meeting to plan for funding for the poor for upcoming period of 2011-2012.
At the meeting, local People’s Committee and the board has called upon enterprises, organizations, individuals, and kind-hearted persons to support poor people materially and spiritually during peak funding month for the poor, Tet holiday, and so on.
Responding to the call, enterprises have registered to donate totally VND 9.758 billion of which Becamex donated VND 5 billion, Binh Duong Mineral and Construction JSC VND 3 billion, U&I JSC VND 500 million, Hung Dong Plastic Company VND 388 million, Scancom Vietnam Company VND 200 million, Nam Tan Uyen Industrial Park JSC VND 200 million, Sabmiler Vietnam Company VND 200 million, Kim Huy Industrial Park JSC VND 100 million, Binh Thang Investment and Development Company VND 50 million, and Viet Huong JSC VND 20 million.
The Chairman appreciated big donation from enterprises for the poor and encourage them to donate more in a bid to promote social policies of the province.
