Enterprises helped to grasp up regulations on fire prevention and fighting

In order to remove difficulties and obstacles, and at the same time, guide businesses to properly comply with regulations on fire prevention and fighting, Binh Duong provincial Police has just coordinated to deploy legal regulations on fire prevention for nearly 200 people of enterprises with FDI capital in the province.

At the conference, representatives of the provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department informed about the fire and explosion situation in the country in general and Binh Duong province in particular, causes of fires and measures to prevent fires and explosions at companies, production and business establishments. Thereby, representatives of the provincial Fire Prevention & Rescue Police Department have integrated propaganda and thoroughly grasped the provisions of law on fire prevention and rescue.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of the provincial Police, along with socio-economic development and rapid urbanization, many residential areas and production facilities , businesses have quickly formed and developed, leading to high risks of fire and explosion. Although there have been information and propaganda measures and efforts of all levels and branches to direct the implementation of fire safety, there are still some units and individuals who are still subjective, not really focus on fire prevention and rescue, leading to the risk of fires and explosions that are not handled promptly, causing serious consequences. “Fire prevention is an important and urgent issue in any situation. Not only in production areas and factories, recently many large fires in industrial parks have occurred, causing serious consequences and are also a wake-up call for investors, facility owners, and workers to be vigilant. Be more proactive in fire prevention," Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Tung said.

At the conference, representatives of the provincial Fire Prevention & Rescue Police Department also answered questions related to fire prevention in businesses such as installing electrical equipment, arrangement of escape routes, supervision mechanism for fire prevention at enterprises, using insulation materials in factories and the risk of fire, instructions on completing management documents on fire prevention and fighting (design approval, acceptance of fire prevention and fighting, facility fire fighting plan, etc.).

Chen Shui Shih, President of the Taiwan Merchants Association in Binh Duong province, said: "The dialogue is very necessary to help members of the branch clearly understand the provisions of Vietnamese law fire prevention. Members who are representatives of Taiwanese businesses investing in Binh Duong also have questions related to compliance and proper implementation of fire prevention regulations answered. After today's dialogue, propaganda materials and instructions on fire prevention regulations are sent out as well as close coordination with the provincial police in propaganda to employees in the enterprise. The Association hopes that the Fire Prevention & Rescue Police Department will continue to act as a bridge for its members to have more access and more correctly implement fire safety regulations at their businesses."
