Evening 10 April, on Highway 13 passing TDM City, at each ATM point, there are dozens of workers coming to withdraw money. In recent years, many businesses in the province are making wage payment to workers on monthly 10 to 15th date. Due to the crowd of workers at the same time, ATM points in populated areas become overloaded.
Notably, the period is the peak season of Covid-19. According to recommendations, people are not allowed to gather crowds and have to keep the distance of 2m. However, many people do not follow these recommendations when withdrawing money at ATM machines.
Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Chairwoman of Binh Duong provincial Labour Confederation, said the union directed grassroots Trade Unions to propose flexible payment time to enterprises. Accordingly, companies may temporarily pay cash or pay wages on various days but must ensure no delay. In addition, grassroots Trade Unions encouraged workers to comply with regulations on safety distance when withdrawing money at ATM machines; increase the payment via bank accounts, minimize cash use to ensure safety for the community.
