Enterprises show their community responsibility

Over the past years, business community and donors always accompany with all level authorities, political and social organizations to hold Full Moon Festivals, grant scholarships to students in difficult circumstances.

Sharing responsibility

At Thanh Le Cultural Park in Thu Dau Mot city, more than 2,000 children enjoyed a Full Moon Festival with music shows and folk games.

Thanh Le Cultural Park’s vice director Tu Huy Giap said that with responsibility on community service, the park often opens new and significant playgrounds for the community. On this year’s Full Moon Festival, the park management board catered for numerous poor children from wards of HIep Thanh, Chanh My and more. Herein, they enjoyed delicious dishes and cultural and sport activities.

During the par 8 years, Ton Dong A JSC has attached and accompanied with the provincial Support Fund for Children, Full Moon Festival Program and granted scholarships to students in difficult circumstances with the total value of more than VND1.1bil.

At the Full Moon Festival 2014 and the 13rd scholarship granting ceremony for local needy students 2014, Ton Dong A JSC along with about 40 other enterprises donated VND150mil to the organizing board, VND90mil of which was for poor students and VND60mil for the program of “Each kind heart lightens up a dream”.

Nguyen Thanh Trung, general director of Ton Dong An JSC shared “The company wishes to contribute responsibility to taking care of poor people, students. In order to well implement this duty, the company at first must ensure production and business efficiency as well as complete obligations of tax for the State”.

Lightening up children’s dream

Korea’s CGV high-grade cinema also brought a significant program for orphans, poor kids of Binh Duong province. CGV Vietnam Corporation general director Dong Won Kwak said that this is an annual activity of CGV Vietnam to bring delicious dishes, good films for children in difficult circumstances. The company hopes that such mall events will inspire ambition, dream and creation in life and learning.

Le Viet Huy, vice manager of CGV Binh Duong Square in Thu Dau Mot city said that on Sept. 6 and 7 a program themed “Trang Cuoi” for poor kids from wards of Thu Dau Mot city, sponsor centers for children at rural areas of this province was held at CGV Binh Duong Square. Herein, children enjoyed many delicious dishes, famous films of Hollywood. At that time, the Trang Cuoi program took place throughout big cities such as Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Bien Hoa, HCMC, Vung Tau, Can Tho and more. This is the annual activity of CGV over the past 10 years.

Also in this year’s Full Moon Festival, Kinh Do JSC spent 7,000 gifts worth VND700mil to poor children in remote areas of provinces such as An Giang, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai and kids of laborers working at industrial parks.

In Binh Duong, reps of Kinh Dong JSC arrived at houses for unlucky children in Ben Cat town, Ben San lepers’ station to donate gifts on the Full Moon Festival 2014.
