Over the past years, natural disasters from climate change occurred in many places. The life of human beings is being negatively affected by changeable weather. To join hands in combating climate change and protecting the environment, youths in the whole country in general and in Binh Duong province in particular have organized a lot of practical activities for a green, clean and nice environment.
Thuan An town’s Youth Union is one of units taking the lead in propagandizing and mobilizing people to join hands in combating climate change. Since early this year, the town’s Youth Union has planted nearly 1,000 green trees, especially on the occasion of the 128th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday. The local youths have also just launched the summer youth volunteer campaign 2018 and responded to the World Environment Day (June 5).

Truong Van Khanh, Vice-Secretary of Thuan An town’s Youth Federation said that over the past time, the town’s Youth Union carried out youth works to raise public awareness of environmental protection, including making environmental hygiene in public places; planting nearly 1,000 green trees; delivering propaganda leaflets on environmental protection for Youth Union members, young workers…
The branches of the town’s Youth Union have also well realized environmental protection. The Youth Union branch of the town’s Division of Natural Resources and Environment is a typical example for this. Particularly, the Youth Union branch has so far carried out a youth work on “Flower garden following Uncle Ho’s teachings”, creating a green space for Youth Union members to relax after hard working hours.
Bau Bang district’s Youth Union has also just coordinated with the district’s Division of Natural Resources and Environment to organize a ceremony to launch the Word Environment Day (June 5) under the theme of “Beat plastic pollution”. Accordingly, at the ceremony, the two units held a program exchanging waste for 400 gifts; a contest learning about the Law on Environmental Environment, absorbing a large number of Youth Union members and pupils…
Nguyen Huynh Nguyen Vy, Vice-Secretary of the district’s Youth Union said: “We want that the program will contribute to protecting the environment; raise public awareness of environmental protection in association with practical deeds, contributing to changing the community’s behaviors and lifestyle to protect the environment, the nature…”.
In addition, provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment has just kicked off the 4th provincial Environment Festival 2018 under the theme of “Beat plastic pollution” at Thu Dau Mot University, absorbing more than 1,000 pupils, students and Youth Union members. The festival took place very animatedly with such practical activities as exhibiting environmentally friendly models, technologies and products; implementing a series of activities calling for people to collect, classify plastic waste to exchange for gifts; guiding how to classify waste at source…, contributing to raising public awareness of environmental protection.
Possibly seeing, activities of young people in the province over the past time contributed to raising public action and awareness in keeping a green-clean and nice environment, forming up a cultural, civilized and environmentally friendly lifestyle among people from all strata.
