The second stage of eradicating hubs of electrometers in the province has achieved bright results, contributing to the bid of direct power using.

Workers are working on eradication of electrometers organized in hubs in rural area As reported by Department of Industry and Trade, the tasks have helped 14,892 households to use power directly from the electricity gridlines. Business operation and people live hood have been settled down. The tasks have especially improved safety of power using and reduce waste from the gridlines and beautified the streets.About 99.2% of people in the province have now accessed the power gridline which was invested by VND 156.191 billion as approved by Provincial Budget and Economy Committee for 46 projects, building up 93.344 km of middle voltage power lines, 428.141 km of low voltage lines, 203 transforming stations at the capacity of 11,372.5 kVA.Throughout the districts, the tasks have significantly helped to eradicate hubs of electrometers; however, 4 out of 46 mentioned projects failed to achieve the results due to lack of compensation budget for power grid safety corridors. Besides, the expansion of the power grid is outrun by development of rural traffic roads let alone the fact that surveys are not thoroughly made. After one inspection drive, the Economy and Budget Committee has proposed to Provincial People’s Committee to remove obstacles and improve quality of power supply to new rural areas. The board pointed out 4 urgent constructions in Dau Tieng and the retrieval of shutdown 35kWh power lines and 35kV transformers and posts to reduce waste and to beautify the streets. Besides, the board called for resolution of 34 cases impeding power grid safety corridor in Binh Dang, Binh Hoa, Thuan An Town.Another important matter proposed by the Economy and Budget Committee includes power prices for workers living in hostels. Accordingly, the board requires that owners should collect VND 2,000-3,000 per kWh to prevent ill-treatment towards workers. Education and propaganda programs should also be intensified to improve power saving across State agencies and units, as proposed by the Economy and Budget CommitteeReported by Ky Tan – Translated by Vi Bao
