In the night of February 21, the twelve day of the first lunar month, provincial Literature and Art Association organized Poetry and Music Night to celebrate the 11th National Poetry Day on the first full-moon of the year at Binh Duong Folk dance-music troupe’s hall.
Themed “Youth and the Fatherland”, the event welcomed honorably Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee Mr. Huynh Van Nhi together with many local artists on the local area. Meritorious artist Hong Van, Ly Bach Hue, Duc Tam, Dai Trang, Dai Loi,Thu Thuy, Bich Ngoc, poet Cat Du as well as singers from Binh Duong Folk dance-music troupe performed at this event.
On the occasion of welcoming the Party and spring plus the 11th National Poetry Day, poetry club of Di An town held Full-moon Poetry Night in remembrance of Uncle Ho at Di An theatre in night February 21th. The event encompassed performances of poetry music, Quan ho (traditional love duet singing), cheo (traditional opera)… from this club’s members. Last year, 3 members of this club were granted as poet by Vietnam Literature and Art Association.
On the morning of February 22, at the Culture center of An Phu commune, Thuan An town, a poetry exchanges event of 12 poetry clubs throughout the province and neighboring area including Long An, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai… was held by An Phu poetry club.
Additionally, on the morning of February 24, the fifteenth of the first lunar month, Poetry committee of provincial Retired officials’ club held a celebration with special musical, poetical items from club members in order to mark the Poetry Day.
