Second stage of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing reaches 70% of construction plan Recently, Becamex IDC has continued the second stage of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing, offering bargain house buying for low-income people.More low-income people in urgent need of housing have accessed and owned bargain apartments of Becamex IDC after a drawing to select apartments to be bought in the first and second stage of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing project.Accordingly, over 100 apartments have been chosen by 82 customers who are now workers, staffs, officers, military servicing people, and low-income people for later deposits and contract signing.At the drawing ceremony, representative of Becamex IDC has informed that the second stage of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing project should extend 384 apartments of 30m2 each and VAT-included VND 110 to 170 million.By the time, construction of the second stage has reached 70% of the progression while drawing ceremonies should be organized accordingly.It has been predicted that, Becamex IDC should proceed with handing over complete apartments to buyers by April 2014.Previously, Becamex IDC has completed the first stage of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing project to offer 368 apartments sold out to low-income people in the locality.Mr. Trinh Tien Cuong, a worker of Far Eastern Apparel Co. Ltd. in Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park I, who has bought an apartment of Becamex Viet-Sing Social Housing project in the second stage, said: “It’s the dream come true for me.”He also added that only government support could enable low-income people to buy social housing apartments.“We had to rent hostel at over VND 1 million a month. Now, at that same amount per month, we have brighter place to residing in,” said Mr. Trinh Van Binh, another successful buyer of the project apartments.According to Becamex IDC, the thorough coordination of banks and VND 30,000 billion of supporting funds should make it easier for low-income people to buy social housing apartments.A customer may buy in form of hire-purchase within 84 months. The customer pays VND 10,000 million in the preliminary stage before paying about VND 1 million a month for 24 months. The remaining 60 months shall bear from VND 1.6 million and above per monthly payment depending on value of the apartment.In recent move, National Housing Organization JSC has presented the draft plan of Phu Tho Social Housing covering 9,000 square meters with about 700 apartments in 4 different models (38-60m2 flooring) at VND 5-7 million per m2 in modern and surrounding harmonious designs.As informed by the project manager, 20% of the apartments shall be offered at favorable prices to officers and cadres of the province while the remaining portion shall be open to all low-income people.Reported by Thanh Son – Translated by Vi Bao
