From June 1, Social Insurance of the province shall contact labor unions of enterprises having insurance dossiers burnt out or destructed and the owners have out of contacting to establish a listing of those employees wishing to quit the positions in such enterprises so that Social Insurance can return social insurance books to the employees. Provincial Social Insurance, through bulletins at the factory gates, shall notify the employees to submit their dossiers directly to local branches of Social Insurance in the event that their affected enterprises have no labor unions.
“Mr. Le Thanh Cung, Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, has approved to allow employees to register for voluntary insurance pay-out without presenting job quitting evidence so as to justify the resolution for so many employees affected and the recovery of enterprises. Besides, they are offered 3-month time to submit their dossiers to receive the pay-out. If the employees want to transfer voluntary insurance pay-out to other provinces, they should obtain certification of Center for Job Introduction and Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs calling for support from the provinces that the pay-out has been transferred to,” said Mr. Bui Huu Phong as Director of Social Insurance.
Phong added that his agency shall conduct faster processing to assure benefits for employees of enterprises affected by the incidents.
At the recent working session with Vietnam Social Insurance, Binh Duong Provincial Social Insurance has proposed Vietnam Social Insurance to finance the tasks of resolving payrolls to employees by allowing Binh Duong Social Insurance to sign and stamp preliminarily on insurance books to timely return to employees.
The provincial agency proposed to consider additional issuing of social insurance book and time grace for certain enterprises having their documents heavily damaged or burnt out.

At Thong Duong Shoes Co. Ltd., over 1,000 factory workers have been offered consultancy on insurance and vocational training for working people having unemployment allowances.
Accordingly, those working people shall be offered free vocational courses not in cash so that they shall be more qualified for jobs.
The course fees and time shall be dependent on specific fields and the needs of them, starting from the first day they receive their monthly unemployment allowances.
After the team has announced information about vocational training support for working people of unemployment allowances, the teams informed of the job recruitment in various fields of enterprises in the province for the working people to catch up.
