According to Le The Hung, Head of Family Lifestyle - Culture Development chamber under provincial Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, leaders of all levels have paid attention to family affairs. Propaganda were wider and deeper so that people’s awareness of building up wealthy, happy family was improved. To specify tasks and complete targets of Vietnamese family developing strategy, on Dec 2, 2013, PPC stipulated Decision No. 789 / QD-UBND to deploy the implementation plan for Vietnamese family developing strategy in Binh Duong province until 2020, with a vision till 2030; to deploy Plan No 4003 / KH-UBND dated Dec 25, 2013 on performing family affairs in Binh Duong province in 2014 and following years. Thereby, strengthening the leadership and guidance of the Party and government in family affairs; identifying family affairs as one important contents of the regular plan of the Party and government; integrating family developing targets into socio-economic development tasks of each locality. Every year, chambers of Culture and Information of 9 localities in the province counsel People’s committees to issue implementation plans for family affairs, summarize, report results and difficulties at year-end.
In recent years, the province has given timely directions to sectors and agencies to devise plans for realizing DVP solutions to prevent and reduce the severity of domestic violence in the province. Besides, mobilizing resources for DVP tasks, including direction, propaganda, organization, inspection, supervision, especially investments in family affairs.
Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also advised PPC to issue Decision No. 52 / QD-UBND dated Jul 1, 2011 to adopt DVP Action Plan of Binh Duong province in the 2011-2015, direct provincial localities to specific plans in accordance with the general plan, select hot spots of DVP to establish communal steering committees and clubs of DVP, strengthen grassroots reconciliation teams. Giving training on Law on DVP and relevant laws; guiding the organizing, managing and operating family sustainably developing clubs, DVP groups, grassroots reconciliation teams…
As a result, from 2008 to 2015, the province developed 309 family sustainably developing clubs, 309 DVP groups, 309 grassroots reconciliation teams at 56 communes, wards and towns / 9 districts, towns and city. These activities have improved people’s awareness of the importance of DVP models, Party and State's guidelines and policies on family affairs… Simultaneously, members of these groups had opportunities to exchange experiences in building happy family, working, taking out loans for home-based business development.
The model “Consolidating cultural family in the industrialization and modernization stage of the country" and the project “Propagating, educating ethical lifestyle in Vietnamese families” have been implemented extensively. By 2015, the province had 146 quarters, hamlets of 23 communes, wards and towns to implement the consolidation model; 151 quarters, hamlets of 23 communes, wards and towns to implement the propaganda project. This contributed to increasing the proportion of households meeting cultural standards, implementing successfully the movement “All people unite to build cultural life"; creating favorable conditions for members and people to complete their rights and responsibilities: learning more about Law on DVP; Law on Gender Equality; Law on Marriage and Family; educating moral lifestyle among families, reducing DVP. Women have more knowledge about reproductive health care, and skills to build up happy family.
According to Mr. Hung, in the coming time, the province will continue to organize professional training courses on models, projects to improve official’s knowledge, skills to arrange effective activities; improve the quality of building happy families in the integration process, helping to complete successfully happy family targets…
