The movement of family build-up was established in 2009 by Women Association of Binh Duong Province, bringing about the meaning of children care and fight against domestic violence.
Mrs. Tran Thi Muoi Bay who is head of Family and Society Board under Women Association of the province said that domestic violence takes a great proportion in families and society which has caused negative effects on children. The movement has enhanced awareness of members and officials of the associtation.
Up to date, 2 clubs of families, 40 groups of self-governing units, 2 clubs of women protecting environment, and 80 clubs of happy families have been established with 2,200 members in 177 groups. Besides, the association has supported women with economic programs. Through time, over 2,681 households have made loans of VND 335 billion.
Thanks to such support, Mr. Kim Van Tot and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Bich residing in Tan An Commune have escaped poverty. And, many other families are now happier with such support.
The movement proposed by Provincial Women Association has brought about happiness to families, breathing new life to socio-economic development targets of new rural areas.
