“Only by attending those event can you see through its meaning. We need to cooperate as family members to ‘win’ in all circumstances,” said Mrs. Ha who is from a 3-generation family.

The elders in Center for Social Support are joyful on Family Day
Meanwhile, maintaining a family means sharing up work as in the case of Mr. Nguyen Minh Kha and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cuc in Tan Uyen District.
“He cooks when I am away from home. It is not that he shares up all the work but he helps me a lot in houseworking. By that we build up our happiness,” said Mrs. Nguyen Thi Cuc.
Beyond from individual families is annual activity of Family Day. Taking it as granted, leaders of VCB – Binh Duong Branch visit second Center for Social Support (formerly named Center for Elders, Invalids and Alone People) every year. They actually extended their hands to unhappy and disadvantage people.
“We need help in taking care of 75 people in our center, of which 27 people are disable and two are suffering mentality,” said Mr. Vo Hoang Than, Deputy Director of the center. On Family Day, they really appreciate visits of organizations and individuals.
The visit of leaders from VCB Binh Duong Branch has brought up joy on Family day, especially to Nguyen Thi Quy, 96, who has been living in the center for over 20 years. “I’ll take the presents to our room to have a party and save up the money,” she said.
In such a hustle life, family is the home to those who are yearning.
